Gabriel Hernández Cadenas

Was Born in Camagüey CUBA, 17th July 1964, and start his piano education at 7 years old, in "Luis Casas Romero" Music Conservatory in Camagüey Cuba At fifteen years old finished his theory and Pianist professional education, at the same age also received an EGREM price for the Best Musical Orchestration of the annual record. He has immersed in well known  "Jazz Plaza" festivals, realizated annually in Habana Cuba and that's how he became to be part of the Leon Thomas and Dizzy Gillespie Band, which been presented in International Jazz Festivals as Montreaux, Montreal, Jamboree (Polonia), Jazz Danubio (Bratista-Checoslovaquia), London Jazz Fest, Heverkusen (Colonia-Munic-Germany), Milky Wey (Amsterdam-The Netherlands), Jazz Rue, Ciamuferon (France), Jazz Fest Ottawa, Toronto, Becomo (Canada) as well in concerts in Budapest, Madrid, Islas Guadalupe, Martinique, Moscow, among others In 1985 UNEAC (Writers and Cuban Artist Union) gave him the best Condecoration and was unscripted in the "Greatest Music Personalities and Cuban Art" Book. Member as juryman in The National Commission of Evaluation of the Music National Institute in Habana Cuba beside Chucho Valdez Gonzalo Rubalcaba y Orlando Vistel And has performed with musicians as Roy Hargrove, Jean Carter, Chucho Valdez, Tito Puente, among others...
